Dr. Laurie Head, D.V.M.

Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR)

Dr. Laurie Head, DVM, Diplomate ACVR (board certified radiologist) has chosen us as one of the few lower mainland veterinary hospitals that she regularly visits. She received her veterinary degree from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) in Saskatoon and then completed a two year small animal medical internship. Dr. Head continued for another two years at the WCVM as a clinical associate of internal medicine. She completed her residency in radiology at the University of Tennessee, where she obtained her diplomate status and became board certified.

Dr. Head travels with her ultrasound equipment to enable her to both ultrasound and if necessary biopsy internal tissues guided by ultrasound. Currently Laurie performs ultrasounds once every two weeks at our hospital. She also permits us to send our digital ragiographs of our patients for her review and interpretation if needed. Many of our patients have already benefited from her expertise and the convenience of in-hospital procedures.
