Tatjana K. Mirkovic, BSc, DVM, DACVIM (Small Animal)
Board Certified Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine
Dr. Mirkovic was born and raised in Manitoba. She received her DVM degree in 2000 from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. She then completed an Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the Atlantic Veterinary College, University of PEI in 2001, followed by a Residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine in Knoxville, Tennessee. Dr. Mirkovic became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2004.
Since returning home to Canada in 2004 she worked as a specialist in small animal internal medicine in private practice for seven years at a large referral only specialty hospital in Vancouver: Canada West Veterinary Specialists and Critical Care Hospital. Currently she has her own mobile consulting business where she travels to general veterinary practices to consult on difficult or unusual medical cases and also performs a variety of special internal medicine procedures such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, rhinoscopy, bronchoscopy, bone marrow and joint tap procedures which all are part of the specialty of internal medicine. Her practice is limited to internal medicine problems of dogs and cats.
Dr. Mirkovic lives in Port Moody, BC. In her spare time she enjoys spending time in the great BC outdoors, cycling, travelling and spending time with her two best friends; her husband and her Black Labrador Edward.
