Emergency & Urgent Care

Emergencies may consist of problems such as snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.

We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarians and technologists will be able to assess the status of your pet and advise on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen. More urgent cases may be admitted directly into the treatment area of the hospital for immediate care. We try to provide as much flexibility and convenience as possible with appointments available in the evenings and on weekends. Please call us at Ext 1 604-590-2121 if you need to make special arrangements to drop your pet off before work, or the evening before a procedure or appointment.
