Lori (RVT) – Technologist
Lori has been with the Scottsdale crew for over twenty four years. Lori enjoys learning new skills and regularly attends continuing education. She loves parasitology and will search for parasite eggs in your pets fecal with great enthusiasm. Lori has also taken additional training in the area of dentistry and finds it very satisfying to improve a pets oral health with a thorough cleaning after a detailed evaluation of every tooth with the doctor. Lori is also our overnight treatment technician and is mom to her daughter and boxer Martin.
Bert (VT) – Technologist
Bert has been with the team for over 20 years as a part time Animal Health Technician. She lives in Delta running their family dairy farm with her husband, kids, grandkids, dogs and way too many indoor, outdoor and barn kitties. Bert enjoys mentoring the younger staff and ensuring our practice follows AAHA protocols especially in areas of surgical monitoring and anesthesia. Bert has a great sense of humor and says she loves that she and her team work so passionately together to provide the best possible care to all of our wonderful patients.
Sandy (RVT) – Technologist
Sandy has been an Animal Health Technologist for more than 19 years and has been working with our hospital for more than seven of them. Sandy used to split her time between Scottsdale and teaching the Veterinary Assistant program in Vancouver. Now her time is split between us and teaching/owning a Yoga Studio in White Rock. Sandy enjoys working with our dental patients, caring for the patients in hospital and balancing her life with Yoga. Sandy is an organizational genius and keeps the hospital running smoothly.
Amber (RVT) - Technologist
Amber joined our Scottsdale team after volunteering with us straight out of high school. She has lived in the North Delta neighbourhood her whole life and was a client of our office with her two dogs Truffles and Peach prior to becoming a receptionist here. As of May 2013, she has successfully completed the Animal Health Technology program at Douglas College and has come back full time as a registered technician.
Danica (RVT) – Technologist
Danica joined the Scottsdale team in 2014 after moving to Surrey from her hometown of Maple Ridge. She has been working in the veterinary industry since she was 16 and it has always been her passion and dream to help animals. She graduated from Douglas college in 2012 as a Registered Veterinary Technologist and has been enjoying the fast paced, exciting job ever since. When not at work you can find her hiking and running outdoors with her chihuahua cross Gus Gus and her french bulldog Kevin.
Denise (RVT) – Technologist
Denise graduated in Fairview, Alberta and has worked in the industry for more than 20 years. Has experience with all types of animals. Has been working at Scottsdale Veterinary Hospital since 2014. She lives in Abbotsford with her wife, 2 dogs (Dara & Carney) and 5 cats (Mouse, Chipotle, Camille, Frank & Stache).
Karyn (RVT) – Technologist
Karyn joined our team in the fall of 2014. Karyn was our spring practicum student who then took a summer internship with Canada West Veterinary Specialists. We are happy to have her back full time with us. Karyn lives in White Rock with her dog Otis (great dane cross).
Tahnee (RVT) – Technologist
Tahnee joined our team in the summer of 2015. Tahnee was our spring practicum student from Douglas College. A few months after the completion of her practicum we had an opening and Tahnee was excited to be asked to come back. Tahnee lives in Surrey with her cat and two dogs, one of which partakes in weekly agility classes.
