From the Scottsdale Veterinary Team, we thank you.
Irene has just completed training as a Fear Free Certified Professional. As part of our ongoing commitment to the health & well being of your pet, this certification allows us to help you recognize and alleviate fear, anxiety and stress in your pet. Dr. Irene O’Brien graduated with distinction from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. Irene has been with our Scottsdale team since graduation and enjoys the challenges of small animal medicine and surgery.
Her desire to help clients raise happy, well adjusted puppies has led to the development of the puppy socialization classes which are held on an ongoing basis since 1999. Irene and her husband have the pleasure of sharing their home with Tarnell (a sweet Pit Bull) and three cats (Gaius, Eragon and Emmet). Irene is the primary veterinarian for B.C. Guide Dog Services so we see a lot of guide dogs-in-training at our Hospital. As well, Irene volunteers time vaccinating the litters of new puppies and holding vaccination clinics at the guide dog house for the dogs-in-training.
